| I just saw a Norwegian movie called Headhunters. (Hodejegerne in Norwegian.) It was good in itself, but it should be of particular interest to Eroicafen, because it's about a blond art thief who steals a painting from a very handsome brunet longish-haired former Special Ops soldier named Clas. Note: Clas is played by the guy who plays Jaime Lannister. It's at the art house type theaters in the U.S. right now. Elsewhere, in some places it's already had its run and in others it's still coming - check http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1614989/releaseinfoBut it's going to be on DVD in August here, and it looks like in September in Europe. | |

| Hello! I don't normally post here but I have been an Eroica fan ever since I found the English manga. I love Major Eberbach no matter how much he'd probably hate me and I'd like to see what would happen if he ever met Major Bancoran. Recently I finished translating Z (you can see it here if you want). Since it's been over year since I started it I thought I'd post that it was finished now. I actually had a few questions I'd been planning on asking after I was finished if anyone here doesn't mind. Did using different fonts for normal text/yelling text add to it or was it distracting? Were the SFX notes too small? Do you prefer to have the original SFX + English equivalent, just the Japanese or just the English? Things like that. I wanted to keep it consistent so I didn't want to suddenly change the style mid-series, but I'd like to know what people think for next time I end up editing a series! Thanks in advance for your thoughts. | |

| And here is the final part of the exploration of Klaus's possible roots. ( Research Project Part 3: Habsburgs in the Eberbach tree )NEW EDIT: Want to see how Klaus is related to the current Royal Family in England? Here is the Relationship chart(they are 14th cousins 4 times removed through Prince Philip) Summary: So this is the result of my research (so far) and some conclusions I've made. I hope you've enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed researching it. I may change my mind on any of these as I do more digging, or as I read more translations of Tyrian's story. And, of course, I welcome any thoughts that others may have on the subject of the ancestry of our beloved Major. If you have any ideas, suggestions, or personal theories on any of the three topics, I would love to hear from you! | |

| This is a project that I have been working on, in fits and starts, for about 2 years. I decided to go ahead and post it, although I am still working on the "tree" part of the research. Because it is so long, I will be posting it over the next three days, in honor of the Major's birthday. Who Do You Think You Are? - Klaus von dem EberbachIntro – or Why the heck are you doing this crazy thing? It all started when, during the process of writing a historical AU with the Eroica characters, I realized that I needed to know precisely where Klaus fit into the Habsburg family and also where a certain painting would be located at that point in time. I also realized just how intriguing Klaus’ background is, even for a fictional character. Dorian is interesting too, but for different reasons: there has never been an earldom of that name which allows for many possibilities as far as family and location of Gloria are concerned. But Klaus comes from a real city and has stated (if vague) connections to a real historical family, and that makes his background intriguing in a different way. So, since I am an amateur genealogist, I decided to approach this as I have done my own family tree, and try to track down answers these questions: 1) Where did the von dem Eberbachs come from? 2) How is Klaus connected to Tyrian Persimmon? 3) How is Klaus’ family connected to the Habsburgs? I hope you enjoy the results of my “investigation” as much as I did. ( Part One: Where did the von dem Eberbachs come from? )EDIT: Added Pedigree chart for Hans V von Hirschhorn Relatives & Peers of Hans V von Hirschhorn (I recommend magnifying to 100-150% once open to read) Tomorrow: Research Project Part 2: Tyrian Persimmon | |

| Today is the Major's Birthday. We will respectfully NOT delve into how old he is, purely from a self-preservation standpoint. In honor of the occation, I've posted a new fic over at castlegloria --> All My Love Forever. While you're there, check out mosellegreen's new fic additions. here and hereAs of today, the Schloss has just over 370 members! | |

| I got a set home last week and I have put up some images here: http://anne-li.slashcity.net/thai/index.htmlNeat covers. The volumes inside does not follow the division we're "used" to, for example they split Achilles' Last Stand into different books. | |

| I'm clearing out my shelves, and I'm stuck on whether or not it would be worth it to try and sell my copy of Plus Ultra (1998) and the Yasuko Aoike Character Art Book. I've been out of From Eroica With Love fandom for a while, which is why I have no idea whether these are still sought-after or are items that are no longer in demand. :) I'm not looking to make wild amounts of money off of their sale, but I'm not sure whether or not I'd be worth the hassle of listing them on ebay or doing straight person to person sales on LJ or some such. I don't want to have a situation where I end up owing ebay money for the listing fees, and having no buyers. :) An ebay search for Yasuko Aoike art books seems to suggest that these items aren't selling anymore, but I figured I'd ask the community. Does anyone have any idea if there are still people out there interested in purchasing these items, or if I'd be better off trying to find an archive/library to donate them to? :) edit - 3/6/2012 - Since there's interest, I'm going to put the books up for sale within the next few weeks! I'll be listing them on eBay, and when they're listed, I'll make a post to this community. Thank you for all of your comments and interest! | |

| Aw, how cute, Dorian and the Major are exchanging Valentines. Well, sort of... | |

| http://www.aoikeyasuko.com/Neat. :) EDIT: be a bit careful of this one! I've had it for three days and I'm getting a bit of screen burn already. I didn't even think this type of screen got that. :/ I never turn off this computer, so that's 3 days of being constantly on, but still, my previous wallpaper I have had on for years and it hasn't burned. Might be that it works well usually and that it is my screen that has some issues, but if you put this one, you might want to check for burns occasionally. | |

| Hello,
Sorry if this was already discussed but I was wondering if anyone knew what happened to the Pink Panzer group. The site appears to be down but maybe it was moved? If the group has quit then I would be willing to scan all the volumes if there was anyone who could translate.
I wanted to share cosplay photos as well but I'm not certain if this group is more about information regarding the series then anything else.
I also have the complete set of prints with their case from the Blue Box and was wondering if anyone was interested in purchasing them? | |
